Gaslamp Quarter Investigations was licensed in 1978 by Ben Harroll after he'd obtained ten years of investigative experience across the country and internationally. Ben Harroll has been a leader in his profession while belonging to and participating with some sixteen National and International organizations concerned with the industry and individual professional growth and excellence. Ben's Professional Credentials include those most recognized and accepted as indicative of true Professional Status. A high point in Ben's career was his nomination in 1999 as "Investigator of the Year" by his fellow investigators in the Council of International Investigators. Specialties are: "Investigaciones De Mexico" which serves clients and other investigators needing information or assistance in Mexico and Latin America. The other specialty is "T.S.C.M." Technical Services Counter Measures which serves private clients, other investigators and corporate clients in the preservation of their communications security.

Currently, Ben Harroll serves in the role of creator and curator of the World's ONLY P.I. Museum. This P.I. Museum is currently located in his circa 1940's offices in the Downtown San Diego Historic District known as the "Gaslamp Quarter". Ben's goal is to make a lasting contribution to his profession that will help to correct the negative images that many in our society have; the public, the media, law enforcement, and politicians. Ben's vision is to begin by providing a starting point or "creative spark" along with his own collection of Detective Memorabilia; both Real and Fictional as the P.I. Museum. In the future, it is anticipated that all who are interested in Private Investigators / Detectives can "learn" by going on the Internet. There they will learn about the day-to-day contributions made by thousands of little known male / female P.I.'s who serve their clients; often as the ONLY source of help when the courts and law enforcement cannot or will not get involved in a positive way. Interested people will learn about the real lives of such recently departed Hero P.I.'s as: Hal Lipset, Norm Perle, Sam Webster to name just three! Others have lost their lives serving the clients who hired them. Finally, the Legends such as Allan Pinkerton and Eugene Francois Vidocq can be studied and appreciated for the Historic way they served their clients as far back as the 16th and 17th Centuries. President "Abe" Lincoln would NOT have been our President had it not been for Allan Pinkerton's discovery of the "plot" to assassinate Lincoln as he traveled from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C. for his Inauguration. The P.I. Museum has in its collection an actual 1861 Leather Bound Report about this investigation and it's positive outcome for the United States and all it's Citizens. Watch for more information and pictures showing the actual contents of the P.I. Museum.
